National Scrapbooking Day 2015

This past Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day!! It kind of crept up on me. I had all these big plans for this year. But, soccer started (which is thee most adorable thing ever), birthday invitations happened (CAKE!) so I had to put those big plans on hold. For another year. BUT I did manage to squeeze in one fun and quick layout!! I printed off the challenges that Studio Calico had planned for the day and visited their blog once nap time happened (in between the busy of the day) and decided to play along in their Sketch Challenge. Here is the link to my 30 minute project in my Studio Calico profile. This was for their third challenge, Sketch Challenge. Below is a quick little description. Did you manage to sneak in any scrapping time on #NSD2015?
I picked the first photo on the top of my printed photos pile and decided to challenge myself to use it on an 8.5 x 11 layout. I grabbed a couple scrap papers (one happened to be birds), a PL card that was on my desk, the wood veneer next to my computer, a doily and some enamel stickers from a pile and I had a layout :) I admit, it's not very often for me that all of those elements fall into place. I'm usually sorting through all my goodies looking for the right thing for hours! That's one reason I love Sketch Challenges, it makes me more focused! I think the Studio Calico challenges are open to participate in until May 10th so go make some fun pages! :)
